Anodised Aluminium Blanks for in-house marking or engraving
Laser marking in-house provides companies with a flexible option for product identification because there is no need to supply the data to be printed in advance.
GSM Online Label Sales offers anodised aluminium blanks that are supplied as either natural aluminium or pre-anodised coloured printed blanks.
When coloured blanks are laser marked with information the laser marks through the anodic layer to reveal contrasted marking and detail.
To manufacture the blank labels, sheets of aluminium are electrically charged to open the pores of the metal. Bold, coloured ink is printed into the open pores before it is sealed to create a durable anodised aluminium blank label.
To mark the anodised aluminium blanks there is a few options of machines to choose from. A dot peen marking machine uses a series of dots that form detail (words or numbers). There is the option to laser mark the label blanks and a laser marking machine is used to remove a layer of the metal to create the detail. The option to engrave a blank label is made possible by using a laser that can engrave the required detail. Once marked up the labels are ready to fix into position.
Options for applying the labels are either 3M 468 adhesive tape to the rear of the anodised aluminium blank or rivet or fixing holes depending upon the substrate that the label is fixing to.
